Mailing List

You can sign up for irregular updates by sending us a little email here. We promise we won't inundate you with nonsense - only good wholesome information which will drastically improve the quality of your existence. Oh yes. We are modest like that.

 

Order Fulfillment

In-stock orders are usually shipped within two business days, however, please allow up to 2-3 weeks for order fulfillment and delivery. You should receive your merchandise within 3-10 business days once shipped. Please note that international orders may take up to 3 weeks. We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. We Dream in Colour can not always guarantee availability of products. If you have ordered an item that is not available or that is delayed, we will notify you of the situation via email. Also, be aware that if there are items on back order, your order will be held until it can be shipped in its entirety. In an effort to curb unnecessary waste, We Dream in Colour issues purchase receipts solely by email unless otherwise requested. Please retain a copy of your electronic invoice for your records.

 

Shipping

All domestic orders are shipped via the United States Postal Service with Delivery Confirmation for a flat rate of $6. Delivery Confirmation is not necessarily a tracking service, so aside from final receipt updates are not always available. Fedex two day is available for $26. Overnight service is also available on request.

Please note that as Paypal's system does not allow for collection of a separate shipping option we will always direct packages to the shipping address specified in our checkout. There is no need to contact us if the address specified by Paypal does not match. You will receive a confirmation email with the correct address once your order is shipped.

International shipments are sent via International priority for a flat rate of $20 (CANADA) or $24 (EVERYWHERE ELSE). You may also choose International Express Registered Mail for $45. If you would like a traceable service, please choose Express Registered mail. International priority does not have a tracking option, so once it leaves our hands we can not take responsibility for packages that are not received. If you live in an area where theft/loss is commonplace, please choose registered mail. We do offer alternate carriers and expedited shipping for both domestic and international orders. Additional charges will apply.

Packaging

All orders come packaged in either a We Dream in Colour stamped kraft box or a natural muslin drawstring bag, quite ready for giving. If you are ordering several items and require multiple boxes or bags, please let us know. To limit waste we package all items together unless otherwise requested. Hand written gift cards are available by default if you specify a gift message when you check out.

 

Jewelry Care

Verdigris - our patina pieces will continue to develop over time, to preserve the finish, do not use jewelry cleaner on the verdigris areas. Handle pieces by their edges where possible. Unfriendly chemicals can cause unpredictable reactions, so put jewelry on last after you have applied perfume or hair product. Always remove jewelry and/or hair accessories when washing hands, showering, or swimming. Chains and ear wires may tarnish but can be maintained with metal cleaner or silver polishing cloth - just apply carefully. If left alone both copper and brass chain will develop a lovely patina, usually a rich chocolate brown.

Black and Antique Patina - our patina pieces will continue to develop over time, to preserve the finish, do not use jewelry cleaner on the patina areas. Unfriendly chemicals can cause unpredictable reactions, so put jewelry on last after you have applied perfume or hair product. Always remove jewelry and/or hair accessories when washing hands, showering, or swimming.

Glass Enamel - our enamel pieces are made by melting a thin layer of glass over metal. Like most glass products this means that the finish is fragile, but will last for years if treated correctly. Avoid hard knocks, heavy pressure and do not bend. Do not submerge these pieces in water. Always remove jewelry and/or hair accessories when washing hands, showering, or swimming. Clean by wiping with a soft cloth. Chains and ear wires may tarnish but can be maintained with metal cleaner - just apply carefully. Do not submerge enameled parts in metal cleaner.

Brass & Copper - the beauty of these metals is that they can develop a rich patina with wear. Exposure to salt air/water will bring on bits of green patina. To protect the original finish, always remove jewelry and/or hair accessories when washing hands, showering, or swimming. To restore to a bright finish clean with metal cleaner, ketchup, salt with lemon/lime or a mixture of 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup vinegar and enough flour to make a paste. Rub onto the brass and leave for 10 minutes; rinse and buff dry.

Sterling Silver - we use a new bright Sterling silver alloy which is highly resistant to tarnish - best cleaned with a non abrasive silver polish.

Steel - protect from exposure to moisture. Clean with a dab of oil on cotton or a polishing cloth.

Shell, Bone, Ivory, Gemstones (and other natural materials) - wipe clean with a soft cloth.

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and even e-cheques through Paypal. All prices are quoted in US dollars.

Sales Tax

All items shipped to the state of Massachusetts will incur a 6.25% sales tax.

 

Return/Exchange Policy

We will be glad to make an exchange or credit your account for any unworn items you are not completely happy with. Please email us at customerservicewedreamincolour.com to arrange for a refund or exchange. Items must be returned to We Dream in Colour within 60 days of the shipping date in unused condition (including original packaging). Shipping and Handling fees are non-refundable. Ship prepaid and insured via a traceable method with the package securely wrapped. Return shipping charges are non-refundable and the full responsibility of the customer.

If a returned order was shipped out on a free shipping promotion, we will credit your account less the actual cost of shipping.

Please note that all sale and customized items are final sale.

We Dream in Colour is not responsible for damages or loss incurred in return shipping.

 

Repairs

We will happily repair jewelry (that breaks during normal wear) at no charge within one year of purchase. For jewelry damaged under extreme conditions or after a year a charge (usually small) for the repair and postage will apply. Please email us at customerservicewedreamincolour.com to arrange a repair return. Be sure to ship prepaid and insured via a traceable method with the package securely wrapped and include your return address, contact information and request. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer and cannot be refunded. We Dream in Colour is not responsible for damages or loss incurred in return shipping.

 

Eco what what? Socially Conscious how?

Striving to operate as an environmentally friendly entity is nothing new to us, but if you are curious as to the many steps we take to minimize our impact in our daily operations please read on as we've happily listed a few. We avoid harmful production processes and use non toxic solutions to prep, clean and colour our pieces. All of our enamels are lead free. Packaging materials are reused obsessively, and where new 100% biodegradable. We use reclaimed metals and vintage and antique re-purposed materials where possible and all scrap metals are recycled. Our energy is supplied through National Grid's GreenUp option, so all of our electricity is generated from renewable resources. We donate a portion of our profits, including 1% of our net sales to environmental and humanitarian foundations and charities. Incorporating a sustainable approach into our lives outside work as well is important to us, in fact, that's where it started - we have our own organic garden, compost, reuse and recycle whenever possible and make a point to purchase organic, local and earth friendly products.

We treat all customer information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which means never, ever sharing anything you may share with us unless you've given us your explicit permission to do so. It's that simple.

 

Spam and Phishing/Spoofing Notice

We Dream In Colour does not send unsolicited email. Because of the unscrupulous tactics employed by spammers & malicious programmers, some of our email addresses have been spoofed. This technique is commonly used by spammers to hide the origin of their e-mails.
